We are seeking a highly motivated Actuarial Analyst II to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and filing rates, enhancing forecasting and pricing models, and analyzing industry data for health, dental, and vision products. You will work closely with departments such as Underwriting, Finance, Sales, Legal, and Network Contracting to prepare key deliverables like regulatory rate filings, trend reports, and multi-year projections. This position offers the opportunity to support ASA exam preparation and progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and file major deliverables, including regulatory rate filings, pricing models, trend reports, and reserves.
- Prepare calculations and analyses, summarize results, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify issues/opportunities and develop actionable solutions.
- Represent the Actuarial Team in meetings with functional partners.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes and competitive market trends impacting actuarial work.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent education/training.
- 2+ years of actuarial or analytic experience.
- 2-4 actuarial exams passed.
- Strong analytic skills and experience with relational databases to support business functions.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with VBA, SQL, and SAS preferred.
- Prior experience in health, dental, and vision insurance sectors is preferred.
- Support for ASA exam preparation and progression.
