A Global Proprietary Trading Firm is look to bring on a talented Technology Operations Engineer to join there trading operations team based in their Chicago office. You will be working alongside traders, system engineers, and developers; ensuring the continued support of the systems and trading desks during international trading hours that make up this elite firm's infrastructure.
What You Will Do:
- Monitor trading system - rapidly troubleshoot complex problems to keep trading online
- Work with the Risk and Trading desks
- Manage daily changes and communicate status to the company
- Automating software deployments/applications in a Linux & Windows environment with a focus on low latency
- Building tools to reduce redundancies
You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems or related field
- 1-3 years of experience supporting/administering both Linux & Windows systems in a financial space
- Experience scripting in python
- Familiarity with configuration management systems, preferably Salt, or Puppet/Chef
- Familiarity with monitoring tools
- Previous experience working to support trading desk/traders during trading hours
