Join our Trading Technology Team as a Tech Operations Expert in Chicago!
Selby Jennings is partnering with one of the top trading firms in Chicago to find an experienced and skilled Technology Operations professional. As part of this team, you will be responsible for maintaining critical infrastructure technology that supports high-frequency trading systems. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Splunk, Python, Kubernetes, observability tools such as Grafana or Prometheus; Linux administration experience and strong troubleshooting skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (preferably computer science) from a recognised institution.
- At least 5 year's experience working within large-scale production environments
- Knowledgeable about change management processes
Skills required:
- Splunk - Ability to use Splunk search language fluently; develop dashboard visualisations using charting libraries like D3.js
- Python - Experienced programmer able to write clean code optimised for performance on multiple platforms including Windows/Linux/MacOS
- Kubernetes- Deployment strategies across different cloud providers/ Bare Metal servers & monitoring practices at scale
- Observability Tools - Experience designing dashboards leveraging metric data stored by time-series databases such as InfluxDB
- Linux Administration - Able to troubleshoot issues related system operations
- Troubleshooting Skills - Investigate complex technical problems quickly
This role must sit in the firms Chicago office working in person 3 days per week, and 2 days remote.
