A private equity firm focused on technology enabled companies is looking to bring on a Strategy Investor Relations Associate that will report to the Director of Investor Relations. This role is ideal for candidates coming from a consulting background who have a strong understanding of business strategy, financial analysis, and excellent communication skills. As an IR Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the development and execution of our investor relations strategy and assist in strategic planning initiatives that drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investor Relations:
- Support the preparation of quarterly earnings materials, investor presentations, and other external communications.
- Maintain and update investor databases and ensure accurate tracking of shareholder inquiries and interests.
- Collaborate with senior management to craft clear and consistent messaging for investor communications.
- Assist in preparing financial models, company performance analysis, and competitive benchmarking.
- Manage investor relations calendar, coordinating meetings, roadshows, and conference participation.
- Strategy:
- Conduct in-depth market and industry research to inform corporate strategy and business development opportunities.
- Support the formulation of long-term strategic plans in collaboration with the senior leadership team.
- Analyze financial reports, forecasts, and KPIs to monitor business performance and identify key trends.
- Develop strategic insights from competitive analysis, market trends, and macroeconomic factors that influence business decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with finance, legal, and communications teams to ensure consistency in investor and strategic communications.
- Provide support to senior leadership in preparing board materials, ad hoc analyses, and internal presentations.
- Help drive the execution of strategic initiatives and projects across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, or a similar strategic role, with exposure to financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to process complex financial data and communicate insights clearly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience in creating high-quality presentations and reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with investor relations platforms or CRM tools is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
