Senior Data Center Engineer
Salary: 100,000-150,000 base salary with annual discretionary bonus
A proprietary trading firm is looking to bring on a Senior Data Center Engineer.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage physical infrastructure, including provisioning, decommissioning, and life cycle oversight.
- Install and update software, plan rack layouts, and maintain documentation
- Track inventory, diagnose hardware issues, coordinate repairs, and maintain vendor relationships, including travel to data centers.
Qualifications:
- Basic network knowledge and experience
- Understanding of IP addressing and CIDR notation
- Understanding of server hardware, network devices, and data storage systems
This role must sit in Chicago.
