Job Description:
A leading Private Equity firm based out of Miami, FL is looking to add a Private Equity Associate to their team this Summer. The firm specializes in energy & infrastructure companies within the middle market and will start deploying capital out of its newly funded investment vehicle.
Private Equity Associate Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling to evaluate potential investment opportunities.
- Perform due diligence, including market research, competitive analysis, and operational assessments.
- Assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentations for the investment committee.
- Monitor and manage portfolio companies, including performance tracking and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with senior team members to develop investment strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Support the execution of transactions, including negotiations, structuring, and closing.
- Maintain and update financial models and databases.
Private Equity Associate Qualifications:
- Top-tier college degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting is preferred but not required
- Two to three years of investment banking, financial services, or consulting experience (technology experience preferred)
- Superior modeling, problem-solving, analytical, and research skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to interact thoughtfully with portfolio company management teams
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet demanding deadlines
- Ties to South Florida or the Southeast
