We have a current opportunity for a Medical Economics Analyst on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze medical claims, membership, and ADT data to uncover trends and potential cost issues.
- Identify key cost drivers through data analysis to optimize business strategies and improve financial performance.
- Work with finance and leadership to set up benchmarks for tracking medical cost fluctuations.
- Track and report on medical cost KPIs across different markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with market leaders to address medical cost concerns.
- Present findings in clear, actionable formats to inform decision-making.
- Support additional projects and contribute to ongoing skill development.
Skills & Abilities:
- Proactive in using data analysis to uncover performance improvement opportunities.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work well in a dynamic, team-focused environment.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a solid understanding of business and financial concepts.
- Knowledge of healthcare data, including claims, utilization, and coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, MS-DRGs).
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (e.g., Applied Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics).
- 1-2 years of experience in healthcare analytics, medical economics, or related roles.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel (including formulas, PivotTables, PowerBI) and experience with SQL preferred.
