Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Managing Director to lead its Industrials Team within the Investment Banking Division. The Managing Director will play a crucial role in originating and executing high-impact transactions across a wide range of diversified industrial sectors, including but not limited to manufacturing, aerospace, defense, industrial technology, and logistics. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and deep industry knowledge to drive growth and deliver value to clients.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex transactions, cultivating senior client relationships, and leading teams to execute business strategies that align with both client goals and the firm's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the Diversified Industrials team, providing mentorship, guidance, and oversight to junior bankers, associates, and analysts. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives, private equity firms, corporate boards, and other key stakeholders within the diversified industrials sector. Serve as the primary point of contact for top-tier clients and drive business development efforts.
Origination and Execution: Lead efforts to originate new business opportunities, including M&A, capital raising, restructuring, and other advisory services. Oversee and directly manage the execution of transactions from start to finish, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
Strategic Advisory: Provide strategic counsel to clients on market trends, growth strategies, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital structure optimization. Provide actionable insights based on a deep understanding of industry dynamics and client needs.
Financial Analysis and Modeling: Oversee the development and review of complex financial models, valuations, and transaction structures. Ensure the accuracy and thoroughness of financial analysis conducted by the team.
Market Knowledge and Thought Leadership: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market dynamics, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape. Represent the firm at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams within the firm (e.g., equity and debt capital markets, research, risk management) to deliver comprehensive, integrated solutions to clients.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 12-15 years of investment banking experience with a focus on diversified industrials. Prior experience in senior leadership roles is highly preferred.
Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the diversified industrials sector, with a proven ability to navigate complex transactions and advise clients on strategic matters across a range of industrial subsectors.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree from a top-tier institution is preferred.

Projected Compensation:
Base Salary: $250,000 - $300,000 + Bonus & Origination fees
