Senior Linux Engineer
Salary: 160,000-250,000 base salary with annual discretionary bonus
A proprietary trading firm is looking to bring on a Senior Linux Engineer to their global team.
The Linux Engineer will be responsible for:
- Design, Build, and maintain linux systems on which the firms trading infrastructure runs on.
- Optimize linux systems to run with the lowest possible latency, including performance tuning, and kernel tuning.
- Contribute to on-going globalization efforts of the firms Linux systems including reducing redundancies, improving infrastructure bottlenecks, and improving automation stacks.
- Collaborate closely with network, hardware, and software development teams.
The Linux Engineer should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Python development
- Expertise in Kernel development, performance optimization, and kernel tuning.
- Experience working in latency sensitive environments
- High Performance Computing, and Kubernetes experience a major plus.
This role must sit in the firms Chicago office working in a hybrid model of 3 days per week in office, 2 days remote.
