Role: Head of Financial Risk
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
As the Head of Financial Risk, you will lead the financial risk team, encompassing credit and sustainability risks. You will ensure these risks are effectively managed and integrated within the organization. Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, you will be a key member of the Risk Management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Non-Financial Risk Management, Compliance, and Legal teams.
- Develop and maintain the risk profile and appetite in line with corporate strategy.
- Advise on strategic and regulatory change initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including supervisors.
- Represent or substitute for the CRO when necessary.
- Train and support first-line employees in financial risk management.
Key Requirements
- Education: University degree.
- Experience: 10-15 years in financial risk management, with a proven track record in leading teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, strong knowledge of financial regulations, and experience with supervisory bodies.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of credit, liquidity, market, and sustainability risks, as well as familiarity with relevant regulations (e.g., EBA LOM, PSD2, Basel IV).
