FX Options Trader - Opportunity in Paris
We are looking for FX Options Traders who are willing to be based in Paris for 9 months to1 year before relocating to New York! Am international investment bank in Paris is seeking a skilled individual to join their dynamic and growing team. This permanent position will immerse you into the fast-paced world of foreign exchange, working within both emerging markets (EM) and G10 currencies.
As part of our client's market-making division, your expertise will be pivotal as they continue to expand their footprint across global exchanges:
- Foreign Exchange Mastery: You'll need an intimate understanding of forex markets across both EM and G10.
- Options Knowledge: Your experience with options trading is essential; from vanilla contracts to more complex structures like vol swaps or var swaps.
- Volatility Insight: Understanding volatility dynamics plays a crucial role - it's all about knowing when and how much risk can turn into reward.
- Risk Management Acumen: Proactive identification and management of risks are integral parts not just for trades but also sustaining long-term profitability.
- Client Flow Market Making: be able to respond actively to institutional client (especially Hedge Funds) requests and and provide market expertise.
The ideal candidate should have proven success on a trading floor making decisive moves while maintaining composure under pressure. We're looking for someone who thrives in assessing market conditions quickly, formulating strategies that capitalize on opportunities whilst mitigating potential downsides. The role will be based in Paris for the first year where you can learn how the bank works and get up to speed with Systems/Processes before relocating to New York to strategically push the American franchise.
