Assistant Vice President (AVP) - FX and Rates Corporate Sales (CEE Region)

Job Overview:
A leading global investment bank is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Vice President (AVP) for FX and Rates Corporate Sales to join its team in Frankfurt. The successful candidate will focus on corporate clients in the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region, with particular emphasis on Czech or Polish-speaking markets. This role involves the development and execution of FX and rates solutions tailored to the specific needs of CEE-based corporates, while delivering exceptional client service and ensuring strong risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Coverage: Manage and grow relationships with CEE-based corporate clients, focusing on delivering FX and rates products and services that meet their specific needs.
- Product Expertise: Provide in-depth knowledge and expertise on foreign exchange (FX) and interest rate products, including spot, forward, options, and hedging strategies.
- Sales and Business Development: Actively engage in business development, identifying new opportunities and working with corporate clients to expand the bank's footprint in the CEE market.
- Client Solutions: Collaborate with internal teams to design, pitch, and implement customized FX and interest rate risk management solutions for corporate clients, aligning with their financial objectives.
- Market Analysis: Monitor global FX and interest rate markets, staying informed of geopolitical and economic developments that impact CEE currencies and rates, and communicate insights to clients.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including trading, risk management, and credit departments, to ensure seamless execution and high client satisfaction.
- Compliance and Risk: Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and the bank's internal risk management framework.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are advantageous.
- 3-5 years of experience in corporate sales, with a focus on FX and rates products, preferably within the CEE region.
- Fluency in Czech or Polish is mandatory, alongside proficiency in English. German language skills are a plus.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, particularly foreign exchange and interest rate markets.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships, with a strong track record of developing new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial products in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
