My client, a utilities company committed to providing reliable utility services dedicated to sustainable resources, is looking to bring on a Director of Finance/CFO to join their team in the beautiful, sunny east coast beach town of New Smyra, Florida. A stellar candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, 10+ years of professional utility accounting experience, and 10+ years of supervisory experience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting, budgeting, and procurement/warehouse functions
- Recommend changes to accounting procedures for efficiency and ensure compliance with any accounting standards
- Prepare reports on business activity and financial position
- Direct depreciation rates for capital assets
- Manage investment portfolio with the investment advisor
- Evaluate financial operations and software for process improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 10+ years of professional utility accounting experience
- 10+ years of supervisory experience
- Preferred: CPA designation and annual CPE
