Role:
- Lead various marketing and business origination activities in the Financial Institutions Sector (mainly Banks and Financial Sponsors) across the Asia-Pacific region (excluding Japan), in collaboration with branch Relationship Managers (RMs) in each country.
- Develop and implement the regional Financial Institutions Group (FIG) strategy, driving business opportunities in corporate banking, transaction banking, and investment banking.
- Engage in strategic discussions with FIG clients and build strong relationships with their senior management.
- Expand the customer base by actively cultivating new relationships with a wide range of FIG clients in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region.
- Originate new business deals and drive revenue growth through cross-selling multiple products (e.g., transaction banking, financing solutions, global markets, M&A, DCM, and ECM) in collaboration with internal product partners.
- Conduct sector analysis of FIG segments and identify business opportunities from prospective clients through an in-depth understanding of key clients and industries.
- Manage the credit portfolio with diligent risk assessment and appropriate monitoring in collaboration with credit departments and branch RMs.
- Provide effective support to the Head of Sector Coverage, with direct responsibility for FIG business in the region.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience managing clients in the FI segments at global banks.
- Strong knowledge of financial services solutions utilised by FI & NBFI clients.
- Excellent relationship management and people engagement skills.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills (both spoken and written), self-motivated, and able to multitask to manage timelines.
- A team player with a passion for developing and expanding business, including the client base.
