We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Product Owner/Business Analyst to help manage and deliver our second product. This role is critical in ensuring the successful execution of development cycles, maintaining a clear and actionable backlog, and driving collaboration across teams. You'll work closely with engineers, the Lead Product Manager, and stakeholders to bring our second product to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical feasibility.
- Lead scrum ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Manage the feedback cycle, incorporating input from users, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting to track product progress and milestones.
- Assist with user acceptance testing to ensure product quality and alignment with requirements.
What You Won't Own:
- Strategic roadmap decisions for the second product (initially).
- Responsibilities for the first product (roadmap, backlog, ceremonies, or documentation).
- Budget management.
- High-level product market fit and strategy.
- Sole ownership of company-wide demos.
Onboarding and Success Milestones
15-Day Plan:
- Conduct UAT testing for the first product to gain familiarity with the product and processes.
- Attend existing ceremonies to meet the team and observe workflows.
- Engage in deep-dive discussions with engineers about your product.
- Review documentation and participate in Q&A sessions.
- Begin building the backlog with support from the Lead Product Manager.
- Start designing wireframes.
30-Day Plan:
- Continue refining wireframes and building out the backlog.
- Kick off development of the product.
- Start facilitating scrum ceremonies.
- Provide weekly status updates to the Lead Product Manager, Head of SaaS, and Lead Engineer.
60-Day Plan:
- Design and execute UAT testing.
- Advance development efforts, bringing the product closer to MVP readiness.
- Begin presenting demos to the team to share progress and insights.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience facilitating scrum ceremonies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with wireframing tools (e.g., Figma) and backlog management software (e.g., Jira).
- Familiarity with UAT testing processes.
Bonus Points:
- Background in SaaS product development.
- Technical aptitude or experience working closely with engineering teams.
- Prior experience managing reporting or analytics features.
