What you will be doing:
- Lead a small team of juniors actuaries focused on US GAAP, Stat & Tax reporting
- Monitor valuation models to insure they are compliant to regulation standards
- Collaborate with finance, product development, and underwriting teams to provide actuarial insights and support strategic business initiatives.
- Conduct experience studies, mortality and lapse analysis, and assumption reviews to inform valuation and financial reporting processes.
- Monitor and analyze emerging risks, trends, and regulatory changes affecting actuarial valuations.
- Enhance processes to improve the accuracy and efficiency of valuation and financial reporting.
- Support the implementation of new accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
What you need to be successful
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- ASA designation required, FSA preferred
- 7+ years of relevant actuarial experience with a focus on valuation/financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting for Life & Annuity products
- Extensive experience working with US GAAP, Stat & Tax frameworks
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in actuarial software and tools, GGY-AXIS preferred
