Insurance Account Manager - Commercial Real Estate

Position: NY/NJ Insurance Account Manager - Commercial Real Estate
Location: Manhattan, NY or Whippany, NJ
Pay Range: $90,000 to $180,000 Base Salary

Responsibilities:

  • Service a commercial lines book of business, including application preparation, policy renewal management, and COI/EPI preparation and distribution.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Conduct in-depth account reviews to identify coverage gaps and tailor solutions.
  • Manage multiple large accounts, deadlines, and data, including real estate schedules.
  • Balance and triage changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and service.
  • Analyze client loss run/claim history to identify risk management solutions.
  • Prepare and present proposals to clients.
  • Collaborate with producers and underwriters to market and quote new business and renewals.
  • Review commercial real estate market standards, contract specifications, and lending requirements to assess risks and recommend solutions.
  • Provide superior client service while managing a commercial lines book of business with premiums ranging from $500k to $8M.
  • Work outside of normal business hours as needed.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in large commercial property & casualty, specifically real estate.
  • Strong understanding of NY real estate market standards, contracts, and lending requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products and NY/NJ insurance markets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft products, particularly Excel.
  • Proficiency with agency management systems, especially EPIC.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Insurance Property and Casualty License required (NY/NJ).
