Head of Macro Quant Risk Strategy
A multi-billion global macro hedge fund is looking to hire a Head of Macro Quant Risk Strategy. This role can sit in New York or London.
This is a senior front office risk role, reporting to the Global Chief Risk Officer. This hire will be empowered to partner with the CIO and Business Heads, Senior PMs, and Quants in the front office and make a direct impact on firmwide trade and portfolio construction methodology, strategy optimization, hedge strategy, and quant analytics and tools used for pricing and pre-trade analysis in the front office.
It's a unique, highly quantitative position that blends disciplines across risk management and advisory, quant research + development, and portfolio construction/optimization. Broad macro knowledge across asset classes and programming expertise are absolutely required to handle the hands-on responsibilities in this function.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of front office and/or risk experience
- Master's degree in a quant discipline (Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, etc.)
- Discretionary and systematic macro strategy expertise; cross-asset knowledge is essential
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or a similar coding language
- Experience developing models, tools, analytics for macro PMs and investment teams
