Responsibilities:

  • Processing transactions in accounts payable and managing subsidiary ledgers.
  • Creating payment runs and monitoring accounts payable aging.
  • Communicating with suppliers, authorities, and internal departments.
  • Recording transactions in the cash book, travel expenses, and local accounting.
  • Supporting audits (internal/external) and ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
  • Reconciling and reviewing balance sheet accounts and optimizing processes.
  • Participating in monthly and annual closings, ensuring accurate postings.
  • Providing tax support for VAT and corporate tax issues and collaborating with tax advisors.

Qualifications:

  • Successfully completed studies or comparable qualifications, ideally in finance.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in financial accounting.
  • Knowledge of HGB (possibly IFRS and US-GAAP) and experience with monthly and annual closings.
  • Proficient in Excel; experience with SAP accounting is desirable.
  • Experience with multiple consolidations and intercompany reconciliations, as well as knowledge of VAT and corporate taxes.
  • Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
