Job Description:
Our client is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Tax Partner to join their Tax team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in tax planning, compliance, and advisory services, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional client service to a diverse range of clients (individual, commercial, and corporate) across various locations (local, state, national, and international). Candidates who can bring a book of business are preferred. This leadership role requires strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage and mentor a team of tax professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the tax portfolio, ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax services to clients.
- Develop and implement tax strategies that align with client's business objectives and financial goals.
- Provide expert tax advice and consultation on a wide range of tax matters, including corporate, partnership, and individual taxation.
- Oversee tax compliance and reporting processes, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for tax-related matters.
- Collaborate with other partners and senior management to drive business development and growth initiatives.
- Mentor and develop junior tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, and proactively communicate relevant updates to clients and team members.
Qualifications:
- CPA certification required; advanced degree in taxation or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in public accounting or a similar space, with a focus on tax services.
- Ability to generate $500k+ in revenue annually is preferred.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Strategic thinker with a client-centric approach and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
