Our client is a prestigious venture capital fund with over $x0 B in AUM that is seeking a Director of Financial Reporting within their Partner Services / Family Office division to join their team. You will have the opportunity to work directly under the CFO of the company and with the co-founder of the firm.
Details:
- Location: LA | In-office requirement: 3-4 days a week | Out of market candidates encouraged to apply (relo will be provided)
- Comp: Depending on YoE, Target base salary of $175k - $225k, with bonus up to 100% of base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Develop and implement financial reporting policies and procedures.
- Provide insights and analysis on financial performance to senior management and investors.
- Primary liaison for the Partner Services / Family Office "business"; includes internal time allocation, internal allocation of cost, scope of services, etc.
- Prepare monthly financials for each Partner, including detailed balance sheet/income statement and investment sub-ledgers. Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Manage accounting software for the Family Office and develop a standard reporting package; develop a system/technology solution for reporting.
- Review tax returns prepared by outside providers; develop macro/micro tax strategies for Partners.
- Manage estate planning, reporting and coordination.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; CPA or CFP preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in a venture capital or family office environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
