Job Description
We are currently seeking an Accounting Policy & IFRS Reporting Specialist for the Finance Division in Amsterdam. This role is part of the Finance Team of the Amsterdam-based subsidiary and reports to the Head of Statutory Reporting, Policies, and Projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory annual reports based on IFRS.
- Maintain and improve IFRS Accounting Policy in collaboration with the UK Accounting Policy Group.
- Coordinate the audit of the annual report and financial statements.
- Provide IFRS accounting opinions on various topics.
- Assess complex transactions and determine appropriate accounting treatment.
- Act as an internal advisor on IFRS accounting disclosure requirements.
- Connect with stakeholders across various departments and coordinate with branches/subsidiaries.
- Proactively challenge improvements in the statutory annual report, disclosures, source data requirements, and input from various departments.
- Keep up with relevant developments in IFRS and important future themes to address.
Skills and Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Experience in Financial Accounting Advisor Teams or Technical Desks
- Certified auditor and/or CFA.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably within the banking sector.
- Strong integrity, responsibility, and customer focus.
- Ability to balance risk with opportunity and demonstrate a global perspective.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
