Employment Law Relations Specialist
Our client is a leading software and technology firm, they have a global reach with offices around the world. They are looking for an Employee Relations Specialist to join their Dublin office and cover the EMEA ER operations.
About the Role:
Their human resources operations team you would be joining is committed to consistently enhancing and providing a smooth and positive experience for employees. Their goal is to create straightforward and effective processes, systems, policies, and programs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional services in disciplinary actions, grievances, probation, performance management, and long-term sick leave, ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements.
- Conduct confidential investigations into complex HR issues, analyse evidence, and reach conclusions.
- Manage a complex caseload from start to finish.
- Advise businesses on disciplinary actions, policy interpretation, and employment practices.
- Maintain detailed documentation for ER cases, including reports and outcome letters.
- Offer expert ER advice on reorganisation and restructuring activities in line with local employment laws.
- Develop and deliver training to improve HRBP and leader effectiveness.
- Participate in ER projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance policies and expand ER capabilities.
- Build strong partnerships with business leaders and HR Business Partners to maintain positive employee relations.
- Collaborate with the Employment Legal team, Ethics Office, and investigations teams to balance risk and make informed decisions.
- Analyse ER data insights and trends to drive proactive solutions and effective corrective actions.
- Ensure a consistent approach to case management in handling ER matters.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in employee relations is beneficial.
- Proven ability to collaborate with key stakeholders and work effectively in teams.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
- Experience in developing and enforcing policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Good judgement in handling sensitive, complex, and ambiguous situations.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex, and challenging environment.
- Effective partnership with senior business managers and internal stakeholders.
