This client is a payment service provider and market leader in issuing credit cards in the Netherlands, with a subsidiary in Germany. They have been issuing, promoting, administrating, and processing payments of Visa and Mastercard credit cards for over 30 years.

The Role:

The Lead SIRA will spearhead the formulation and strategic management of the Client Integrity SIRA, collaborating closely with stakeholders to identify and mitigate key risks, enhance processes, and reduce costs. This role involves continuously analyzing developments in financial economic crime research, client behavior, and internal feedback related to KYC/CDD and Transaction Monitoring.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the Client Integrity SIRA
  • Lead the CI SIRA with a focus on long-term, strategic management to mitigate client integrity risks
  • Drive organization-wide and external improvements in processes, products, and cost reduction related to client integrity
  • Shape the Client Integrity SIRA in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Formulate the Client Integrity SIRA, highlighting and identifying key risks and areas of attention
  • Analyze internal and external developments in FEC research, client behavior, and internal feedback-loop information regarding KYC/CDD, Transaction Monitoring, NCTO, and Exit to identify and adjust main risks and areas of attention

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate is experienced in SIRA, KYC/CDD, and Transaction Monitoring within a banking organization, financial organization, or consultancy. The candidate should have:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant area
  • At least 7 years of experience, including 5 years in FEC policy and regulations, AML, CFT, and sanctions
  • Proven experience in identifying and mitigating client integrity risks
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
  • Affinity with risk and audit-related activities
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of SIRA, KYC/CDD, Client Monitoring, and Risk-Based Approach
  • Ability to lead complex programs and foster a culture of Courage, Care, and Collaboration
  • Resilience and adaptability, fostering continuous learning
  • Strong collaboration, inter-team effectiveness, and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and embodiment of the organization's core values
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability in achieving goals and resolving issues
