About the Role: We are looking for a skilled Senior Manager - Life Actuary to join our team, providing actuarial services to life (re)insurance clients and supporting business development. This role involves leading client engagements, managing junior team members, and identifying new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide actuarial advisory services, including risk and capital modeling, model validation, and regulatory advice.
- Lead projects from start to finish, guiding junior staff and resolving issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends and client needs.
- Train and coach junior team members.
- Work directly with clients with minimal oversight.
- Support business development activities.
Qualifications:
- Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries or Society of Actuaries (or equivalent) with 7-9 years of experience in life (re)insurance.
- Extensive experience with US GAAP and IFRS for life (re)insurance products.
- Practical experience in capital modeling and/or ERM.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Bermuda or similar regulatory markets is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Leadership and people management experience.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
