State Product Manager
About the Job:
Our client is looking for a talented Personal Lines State Product Manager to oversee the profitability and strategy of insurance product lines within specific states. This role requires close collaboration with various departments to drive product strategy and monitor the effectiveness of business initiatives. The successful candidate will develop long-term strategies to enhance productivity, create rate review proposals, and work with state management leadership and regulators for approval. Additionally, the role involves conducting industry research, representing the company at professional events, and working with Underwriting to analyze and propose guidelines.

Responsibilities:
- Manage Profit and Loss accountability for specific insurance product lines and geographic areas.
- Report growth performance results to key stakeholders.
- Monitor growth, mix, and loss results nationwide and for assigned states, identifying and responding to trends.
- Achieve underwriting profit and growth objectives through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Develop a multi-year product strategy focused on customer needs for assigned product lines and states.
- Communicate product vision and value proposition to the distribution team for effective positioning.
- Gather market intelligence and stay informed about emerging trends to maintain competitiveness.
- Analyze product performance metrics to identify market opportunities and recommend enhancements.
- Communicate changes effectively to underwriting and distribution teams.
- Develop and manage project plans across functional groups to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Participate in product development efforts and ensure alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide clear explanations for actions taken based on customer requirements and industry trends, and report results to senior management.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Insurance Product Management or a related field, with a preference for Personal Lines experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
