Associate Actuary
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct actuarial analyses, including rate indications and loss reserving.
- Develop and maintain actuarial models and datasets.
- Implement rate changes and ensure accurate deployment.
- Provide analytical support for ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives.
- Validate data quality and improve data processes.
- Collaborate with other business units to address emerging business questions.
- Enhance existing actuarial tools, methods, and procedures.
- Mentor and support the development of peers within the actuarial department.
- Maintain regular and timely attendance in the office.
Qualifications:
- Associate (ACAS) of the Casualty Actuarial Society required.
- Minimum of four years of actuarial experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field required.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and advanced programming skills (VBA, Python, R, SQL).
- Experience with P&C pricing and reserving preferred.
- Ability to handle large datasets and perform complex data manipulations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Self-driven with strong quantitative, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
