Job Title: Valuation Partner

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Valuation Partner to lead their Valuation Services department. This is a senior leadership role that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and strategic direction of the firm. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in business valuations, financial modeling, and the ability to provide strategic guidance on complex valuation matters. As a partner, you will play an integral role in client relationship management, business development, and mentoring a team of valuation professionals. Candidates need to have a transferable book of business of $500k+.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Valuation Services: Oversee and manage the firm's valuation practice, ensuring high-quality deliverables in business valuations, financial reporting, litigation support, and M&A advisory.
Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Serve as the primary point of contact for complex valuation engagements, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Business Development: Drive the growth of the valuation practice by identifying new business opportunities, expanding the firm's client base, and increasing revenue streams. Participate in marketing initiatives and represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Technical Expertise & Advisory: Provide expert guidance and technical advice to clients on business valuations, including intangible asset valuations, fairness opinions, purchase price allocations, and dispute resolution.
Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and develop a team of valuation professionals, ensuring continuous learning, career growth, and adherence to the firm's high standards of excellence. Foster a collaborative environment to encourage knowledge sharing and best practices.
Quality Control & Risk Management: Ensure all valuation reports and analyses comply with relevant professional standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct quality reviews of valuation reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and thoroughness.
Thought Leadership & Industry Knowledge: Stay up to date on industry trends, changes in regulations, and market conditions that could impact business valuations. Contribute to the development of white papers, articles, or presentations to position the firm as a thought leader in the valuation space.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Finance, etc.) is highly preferred.
Certifications: Professional valuation designation such as ASA (Accredited Senior Appraiser), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), or CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst) is heavily desired. CPA designation may also be considered.
Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in business valuation, financial analysis, or related advisory services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role at a professional services firm.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of valuation methodologies, financial modeling, and experience with a variety of industries and valuation types (e.g., M&A, financial reporting, litigation).
Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing teams, fostering collaboration, and driving firm-wide initiatives that align with business goals.
Business Acumen: Strong business development and client relationship skills, with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex valuation concepts to clients and stakeholders in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.

Expected Compensation:
Base: $200,000 - $250,000
5%-10% Realization on business originated
Bonus: $10,000 - $30,000
