Fundraising & Partnership Officer
We are currently working with an agri-commodity trading firm that operates globally. They are currently looking for a Fundraising and Partnership officer, to be based in Kenya.
The Fundraising and Partnership Officer will be responsible for writing partnership proposals to Public Funds and Foundations to strengthen the Research & Development and fertilizer innovations of their fertilizer division You will be involved in supporting sustainable business development across the division, mostly for Sub-Sahara Africa.
You will also get the chance to work closely with the Group Sustainability team and other business functions, including other business units (eg soft commodities), Finance and Communications.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting market research on local and international Public Funds, foundations, and other potential partners and co-investors to accelerate sustainable innovations in the fertilizer division
- Writing-out proposals including Project Rationale, Budget overviews, Theories of Change, and Farmer and company Business Cases
- Coordinating project submissions and timelines in collaboration with different fertilizer teams.
Requirements:
- Degree in environmental sciences, sustainability, or natural resources management
- At least 5 years' experience in project proposal writing or development in Sub-Sahara Africa
