Director of Data Science
Role Overview:
We are looking for a Head of Data to lead and develop the company's data strategy, governance, and analytics capabilities. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive innovation through data, optimize data infrastructure, and create a data-driven culture across the organization. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to unlock the full potential of data, enabling strategic decision-making and business growth.
This role is open to overseas Vietnamese professionals who are interested in relocating back to Vietnam, bringing global experience and best practices to a rapidly growing market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company's data strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead and build a high-performing team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists.
- Oversee data governance, security, and compliance, ensuring adherence to local and international regulations.
- Drive the modernization of data architecture, including cloud adoption, big data solutions, and real-time analytics.
- Strengthen business intelligence (BI) and reporting capabilities, enabling data-driven decision-making across departments.
- Work closely with executive leadership to identify opportunities where data can drive business transformation.
- Foster a data-first culture, ensuring teams across the organization leverage data effectively.
Key Requirements:
- Fluency in Vietnamese and English (spoken & written) is required.
- Proven experience in a senior data leadership role (Head of Data, Director of Data, or similar).
- Strong expertise in data engineering, analytics, and governance, with experience implementing cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Deep understanding of big data technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Spark, Hadoop, Databricks).
- Experience working with business leaders to translate data insights into business strategies.
- Solid knowledge of data privacy and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, PDPA, local regulations).
