Quantitative Portfolio Analyst
I've partnered with a global hedge fund as a successful Sr. PM is looking to buildout their internal portfolio analytics platform. You will work hand-in-hand with their Quant PM in order to translate quantitative insights and improve upon their research framework, tools, models, etc. Candidates will ideally have experience in building multi-asset alpha factor models, portfolio construction and optimization. In addition to supporting the PM, you will also have visibility to Equities management where you'll present research findings, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside a Sr. Equities PM to provide portfolio insights across risk, factor exposures, and performance attribution.
- Build novel equity alpha factor models and implement them into production using Python
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to improve data pipelines, feature engineering, etc.
Qualifications:
- PhD or Advanced degree in Math, Statistics, CS, Physics, Computer Engineering, Financial Engineering/Computational Finance, or similar fields required.
- 2-4 years of experience in a quantitative analyst or portfolio analytics role within asset management, hedge funds, or sell-side research.
- Strong understanding of equity portfolio construction, risk management, and performance attribution concepts.
- Strong technical skills in Python (preferred), R, or similar analytical languages; SQL proficiency is a plus.
- Experience working with portfolio management systems, data visualization tools, and reporting frameworks is a plus.
