Chief Actuary
Our client, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a Chief Actuary to lead their actuarial department and serve as a strategic partner across the organization. This executive role will involve overseeing pricing strategy, forecasting, reserving, and regulatory compliance across all lines of business. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in health insurance, strong leadership capabilities, and a forward-thinking approach to applying actuarial science to support enterprise goals. The Chief Actuary will guide teams through complex risk analysis and ensure alignment with financial objectives and market trends.
Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic actuarial leadership across Commercial, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and ACA lines.
* Oversee pricing, reserving, forecasting, and risk adjustment efforts to ensure financial soundness.
* Advise executive leadership using data-driven insights to guide organizational strategy.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and lead discussions with regulators and auditors.
Skills and Requirements for the Position:
* FSA designation required; 10+ years of progressive health actuarial experience.
* Proven leadership in managing actuarial teams and cross-functional collaboration.
* Strong expertise in pricing, reserving, financial modeling, and risk management.
* Proficient in SQL, SAS, R, and Excel; deep understanding of healthcare regulations and reimbursement structures.
