What You'll Do My client is seeking a sales and use tax-focused individual to supervise and participate in the preparation and review of indirect tax compliance systems of the company and subsidiaries. You would be responsible for assisting with the compliance of US and Canadian sales tax, design. and implementation of tax software systems while simultaneously monitoring and managing the sales tax team
Qualifications:
- 6-8 years of experience in Sales and Use tax
- 1-3 years of management experience
- CPA preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accurate utilization of Vertex within the company including the maintenance of taxing matrix, customer and vendor exemption setups, and system testing
- Coordinating the preparation of journal entries to account for accrued indirect taxes and corresponding tax filings
- Work collaboratively with the Indirect Tax Audit Manager to update tax systems accordingly based on any audit findings
- Manage resolution of business operations and customer sales and use tax inquiries
- Analyze and provide recommendations on a wide range of indirect tax issues and implications
