Responsibilities:

As a Commercial Underwriting Manager, you will:

  • Oversee and prioritize the daily operations of a large functional area or department.
  • Supervise a team of professionals responsible for operations and project outcomes.
  • Review and approve detailed designs and cost estimates for projects.
  • Participate in long-term departmental planning, provide input on operational decisions, and adjust project plans and schedules as needed.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews, provide ongoing feedback through coaching, and make hiring and compensation recommendations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in the Commercial Lines Underwriting Industry.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred.
  • A Juris Doctor degree is preferred. A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
