VP Operational Risk Payments
A global leader in the financial services industry is expanding its Operational Risk function and is seeking a VP to oversee and manage the risks and controls associated with its products.
This role will report directly to the Head of Product Strategy and offers proactive individuals the opportunity to contribute to the enterprise-wide development of risk procedures. The position involves creating pivotal strategies for implementing risks and controls surrounding company products.
Responsibilities:
- Execute and revise risk assessments and control testing.
- Support audits and external reviews on risk and controls.
- Align risk appetite statements with product risks and business strategies.
- Create and develop relationships across the enterprise to ensure the standard build-out of risk management procedures.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to share updates on risk.
- Mentor junior members and consultants.
- Analyze metrics and report identified risks and remediation plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, or a relevant field.
- At least 6 years of experience in Enterprise or Operational Risk Management.
- Over 10 years of experience managing enterprise-wide projects in a financial institution, focusing on operational risk, product management, and technology risk management.
- Experience working in the First Line of Defense (FLOD).
- Seasoned in risk and control frameworks (NIST, COBIT).
- Up-to-date understanding of industry risks and regulations in financial institutions.
- Experience managing processes in a high-impact technology service delivery function.
- Understanding of IT risk, cloud security, and security architecture.
