A growing, mission-driven company in the healthcare manufacturing sector is seeking a Senior Fixed Asset Accountant to join their finance team. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure the integrity of fixed asset accounting and play a key part in supporting the company's operational and financial success.
What You'll Do:
Oversee and maintain the fixed asset accounting system and processes
Manage asset additions, retirements, disposals, and depreciation calculations
Conduct regular asset tagging and audits
Develop and implement policies for job cost tracking and asset records
Reconcile fixed asset-related balance sheet accounts
Collaborate with project managers to review and validate project costs
Monitor capital expenditures against budget and authorization
Support tax reporting through property tax return preparation
Perform research, journal entries, and asset impairment reviews as needed
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3-5+ years of experience in fixed asset accounting
Solid understanding of US GAAP, depreciation methods, and asset lifecycle management
Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics a plus)
Detail-oriented with experience working with internal and external auditors
Knowledge of tax implications related to fixed assets and reporting standards
