The firm is committed to driving growth and creating value through strategic oversight, operational improvements, and capital investments.
Job Summary: The Principal will play a pivotal role in sourcing, evaluating, and managing investment opportunities. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in finance, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record in private equity investing. The Principal will lead transaction execution, manage portfolio companies, and contribute to the firm's strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investment Sourcing: The Principal will identify and analyze new investment opportunities in line with the firm's strategy.
- Due Diligence: They will conduct thorough financial and business due diligence on potential investments.
- Transaction Execution: The Principal will lead all aspects of transaction execution, including financial modeling, deal structuring, and negotiations.
- Portfolio Management: They will monitor and manage portfolio companies, including performance tracking and strategic planning.
- Value Creation: The Principal will work with portfolio company management teams to identify and implement value creation initiatives.
- Relationship Building: They will build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, intermediaries, and potential business partners.
- Exit Strategies: The Principal will develop and implement exit strategies for investments.
- Team Leadership: They will lead and manage teams of junior investment professionals.
- Compliance: The Principal will ensure all investment activities comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Fundraising: They will assist in fundraising efforts for new funds.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or management consulting.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Proven track record in sourcing, executing, and managing investments.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Deep understanding of lower middle market dynamics and investment strategies.
- Willingness to travel as required.
