Investment Performance Analyst
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and Validate GIPS Composites: Ensure all composites are accurately maintained and validated in accordance with GIPS standards. This includes regular updates, performance calculations, and compliance checks.
- Performance Reporting: Generate and review performance reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Data Analysis: Analyze investment performance data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations based on findings.
- Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and ensure compliance with GIPS standards and other regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation for GIPS verification and audits.
- Collaboration: Work closely with portfolio managers, compliance teams, and other departments to gather necessary data and ensure alignment with performance reporting standards.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of performance measurement and reporting.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of performance measurement methodologies, procedures, and compliance activities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CIPM) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in investment performance analysis, preferably within an asset management firm. Experience with GIPS compliance is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in performance measurement software and tools (e.g., Morningstar Direct, FactSet, Bloomberg). Advanced Excel skills are required.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues across different departments.
