Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Principal to join our Private Fixed Income and Structured Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing investment grade and high yield private placements, esoteric asset-backed securitizations, and project finance opportunities. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive market knowledge, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the deal team in all aspects of new transaction evaluation, including deal sourcing, credit underwriting, relative value analysis, and structuring.
• Manage a portfolio of private fixed income investments, providing primary coverage on portfolio credits to recommend buy/hold/sell positions, monthly pricing, and internal ratings.
• Augment existing agent, secondary trading, and peer investor relationships to bolster primary/club and secondary origination.
• Leverage personal and company networks to directly originate transactions, generating significant origination and structuring fees.
• Negotiate amendments and restructuring in complex situations to maximize capital recovery and creditor position.
• Establish and lead cross-platform working groups to identify bespoke origination opportunities and generate fees across various finance areas.
• Execute strategic transactions and initiatives from upper-level management, including the Office of the CEO.
• Maintain outstanding performance ratings and contribute to the overall success of the team.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in private fixed income and structured finance, with a focus on investment grade and high yield private placements.
• Proven track record of leading deal teams and managing large portfolios.
• Strong relationships across the private placement market and the ability to originate transactions.
• Excellent negotiation skills and experience in restructuring and complex situations.
• Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives.
