Job Summary: The Direct Lending Associate will play a crucial role in originating, underwriting, and managing direct lending investments. This position requires a strong understanding of credit analysis, deal structuring, and portfolio management. Key Responsibilities:
- Origination: Identify and source new direct lending opportunities in the lower middle market.
- Underwriting: Conduct thorough credit analysis and due diligence on potential investments.
- Deal Structuring: Assist in structuring and negotiating terms for new investments.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage existing investments, ensuring compliance with investment guidelines and performance metrics.
- Market Research: Stay updated on market trends and industry developments to inform investment decisions.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed investment reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in direct lending, investment banking, private equity, or related areas.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
