China Business Development Manager
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Head of Business Development to join our client's team in Shanghai. The ideal candidate will lead the business development efforts in China, focusing on expanding the institutional client base and driving growth. My client is a leading global systematic asset manager with strong fund performance and a reputation for innovation and excellence in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to attract and retain institutional clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the institutional market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at institutional clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to tailor investment solutions to meet client needs.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences, showcasing our capabilities and expertise.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs, driving revenue growth and market share.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development within the asset management industry.
- Proven track record of success in acquiring and managing institutional clients, with a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
- Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products, including alternative investments and systematic strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership and initiative.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
