We are currently partnered with a leading real estate private debt fund specializing in financing and development across the Mountain West and Southwest who is currently experiencing a major period of growth. To help support that growth, they are looking to add an Associate / Senior Associate to their team.
The Associate / Senior Associate will play a critical role in supporting the investment team in underwriting, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities as well as supporting the disposition of portfolio properties. This position requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with strong financial modeling skills and a deep understanding of the investment process. As an up-and-coming firm, we offer significant input into the development and growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough market research and industry analysis to identify potential investment opportunities.
- Perform detailed financial modeling and valuation analysis for prospective investments.
- Assist in the due diligence process, including financial, operational, and legal assessments.
- Prepare investment memos and presentations for the investment committee.
- Monitor and manage portfolio companies, providing strategic and operational support.
- Collaborate with senior team members to develop investment strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain and update internal databases and tracking systems.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, advisors, and potential investment targets.
- Support financing activities, including capital raising and structuring deals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of business development initiatives.
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 4-5 years of experience in investment banking, real estate, or private credit.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
