Our client is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Equities team on a new trading desk. As a leading global player in technology, trading, and business operations, this team focuses on exchange connectivity, market access, and optimizing US equity trading systems.
This role requires collaboration with trading and technology teams and the ability to independently lead various projects. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a passion for growth and impact. Experience with equities trading systems is a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance high-performance equity trading systems using C++.
- Lead diverse projects independently, ensuring top-quality results.
- Work closely with Quantitative Traders to innovate equity trading systems.
- Provide rapid solutions in a high-pressure environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as an engineer with a focus on C++.
- Proven experience with US Equity Trading Systems, whether high or mid-frequency.
- Expertise in building and optimizing trading systems while maintaining high performance and quality.
- Ability to handle large-scale projects independently and efficiently.
- Understanding of quantitative trading requirements.
- Strong interest in new technology applications in equity trading.
- Solid academic background in a STEM field from a reputable university.
