Senior Casualty Underwriter
We have a current opportunity for a Senior Underwriter at a top P&C carrier. They are looking for someone with 4+ years of casualty underwriting experience. They have top notch benefits and salary. They also have ability to flex the title and salary to AVP level.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for underwriting complex commercial casualty risks, ensuring profitable growth, and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and clients. This role requires a deep understanding of casualty insurance products, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business within delegated authority.
Develop and execute strategic plans with brokers and agents to drive profitable growth.
Analyze risk exposures and determine appropriate pricing and coverage terms.
Collaborate with internal teams, including claims, risk engineering, and marketing, to deliver exceptional service.
Monitor portfolio performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to team development.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of casualty underwriting experience.
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Proven ability to analyze complex risks and make data-driven decisions.
