Front Office - Quantitative Developer
Company Overview:
A prestigious buy-side hedge fund is seeking an experienced Front Office Quant Developer to work directly alongside traders, supporting live strategy implementation and building production-grade infrastructure. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a front-office environment, is deeply technical, and understands the fast-paced nature of trading. You'll play a key role in building and optimizing data pipelines, integrating with live systems, and supporting larger-scale trading initiatives from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with traders and portfolio managers to bring research and strategy ideas into production
- Build, maintain, and scale real-time data feeds and systems critical to strategy execution
- Develop tools and infrastructure to support both short-term tactical solutions and long-term trading platform enhancements
- Assist in the integration of models and signals into the production environment with strong focus on reliability, performance, and scalability
- Contribute to larger engineering and data architecture projects within the front office
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience as a Quant Developer or Front Office Engineer (exceptional mid-level talent will be considered)
- Strong hands-on experience with Python in a production environment
- Comfort working closely with traders in fast-paced settings
- Experience building data pipelines, working with market data, and handling real-time feeds
- Understanding of C++ is highly desirable (you don't need to be writing C++ daily, but knowledge of how it interfaces with systems is important)
