VP, Model Risk Audit
Description:
A growing international bank is looking for an experienced Model Risk Audit Officer with a minimum of 7 years' experience in the banking & finance industry to work within the Internal Audit Department.The Audit Manager will design and supervise execution of internal audits of various complexities, ensuring audit work is performed in accordance with IIA standards and IAD policies and procedures, as well as participate as a team member on other audit engagements or projects.
Role Responsibilities
- Oversee and guide the audit process from start to finish, including planning, testing, identifying issues, reviewing work papers, and reporting.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and senior audit management to clearly convey audit strategies, testing outcomes, and corrective actions.
- Assist in the implementation and execution of the comprehensive audit plan and assurance responsibilities as needed.
- Engage in continuous monitoring and risk assessment processes quarterly and annually to identify business trends and changes in the risk profile.
- Monitor and confirm the resolution of issues raised by the department and regulators.
- Foster and maintain strong collaborative relationships with business leaders, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications And Skills
- 7+ Years of Experience in internal auditing within the banking and finance sector.
- Extensive knowledge of banking and capital markets products.
- Proficient in modeling techniques with experience in performing or reviewing model validations.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
