Asset Management Associate | Real Estate
Selby Jennings is partnered with a bespoke Private Equity firm with over $2Bn AUM in San Francisco focused on Real Estate Investment Management. This team is comprised on sharp and diverse individuals, with senior leadership coming from top firms in the country and seeking an Investment Associate and Acquisitions Associate to support their active deal flow for a summer start.
Ideal candidates are current Investment Management professionals with 2-5 years of experience in Real Estate targeting lateral positions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the identification and evaluation of residential real estate investment opportunities.
- Conduct market research and financial analysis to support investment decisions.
- Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in due diligence processes, including property inspections, financial modeling, and risk assessment.
- Monitor and manage property performance, including financial reporting and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with property management teams to ensure optimal asset performance.
- Support the development and implementation of asset management strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in real estate investment, asset management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of residential real estate markets and investment strategies.
