Turnaround Senior Director
Our client is highly entrepreneurial Turnaround & Restructuring Firm. They focus on debtor and lender side advisory across the MM. They are looking for a seasoned Senior Director to lead cases.
The Senior Director role is a client delivery leadership position that presents a unique opportunity for highly skilled professionals with a proven track record. The Senior Director role will focus on leading cases and projects with little to no oversight, manage and upskill junior talent.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with junior, mid-level, and senior staff as well as clients to develop comprehensive solutions to complex operational and financial challenges across the business lifecycle including activities such as: formulating and implementing value creation, business transformation and performance improvement plans, contingency planning and bankruptcy prep and execution
- Assess organizational structures and effectiveness
- Lead liquidity management (13-week cash flow forecasting, treasury operations and stakeholder communications), case administration (filing preparation, bankruptcy reporting, claims support and plan support) and supporting the development and formulation of business / restructuring plans
- Identify and re-allocate resources to operational, growth, financial and strategic initiatives
- Develop detailed financial projections and business plans
- Lead preparation of executive reporting packages and overseeing all final work product produced by junior talent
- Structure and incorporate streamlined financial and operational processes to improve efficiencies
- Present KPIs, financial performance, budget, board of director presentations, stakeholder presentations
- Lead various operational, financial and management meetings as well as key constituent communications / negotiations
- Advise clients and makes decisions that demonstrate expertise, synthesizing the core drivers of both the clients' business, situational analyses and the underlying complexity of the situation to maximize value
- Provide professional development coaching to junior team members
- Share and manage best practices and oversee work product creation to ensure it is of top quality
- Contribute to creating a high-performing and inclusive culture
Qualifications
- Ability to run entire T&R project, including bankruptcy, with little to no oversight
- 8-12 years of T&R experience
- Repetitions with leading Bankruptcy preparation and execution
- Full mastery in financial modeling (building 3 statement models from scratch, 13 week cash flows, etc.)
- Ability to lead and upskill teams
- Ability to create, and lead the creation of, polished and professional work product
