A top. high frequency trading firm is looking for an IT Support Engineer to join its IT team. This role is ideal for someone with basic Linux knowledge, Windows administration experience, and foundational networking skills. The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for deploying new workstations, troubleshooting workstation issues, and assisting in network and system maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, configure, and deploy new Windows and Linux workstations for employees.
  • Act as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting workstation and connectivity issues.
  • Manage user accounts, configure operating systems, and assist with system deployment in a Windows business environment.
  • Manage and configure Linux workstations. Perform basic Linux system tasks and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Support and maintain basic network operations, including monitoring and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Assist with managing Google Workspace applications and user access.
  • Maintain records of system configurations, deployments, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Implement and support deployment tools for workstations (Primarily via Ansible).

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in IT support or network administration.
  • Basic understanding of Linux and the ability to perform simple commands and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Windows system administration, including configuring OS deployments, managing user profiles, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts (IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, basic troubleshooting).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work as the first line of defense against workstation issues.
  • Ability to deploy and configure new workstations efficiently.

Annual base salary ranges from $100,000 to $150,000, and is influenced by a number of factors, including qualifications and experience.
