The Role
Selby Jennings is seeking an experienced Sales Leader to lead new business sales efforts on a UK and global scale. The successful candidate will drive revenue growth by establishing and expanding relationships with trading firms, exchanges, and crypto-native financial institutions. This is a high-impact role for a sales leader with deep crypto expertise and a strong network in institutional trading.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy targeting trading platforms, exchanges, and institutional crypto firms.
- Lead new business acquisition, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to drive long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal teams-including product, engineering, and marketing-to align sales initiatives with business goals.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance market presence.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in blockchain and DeFi.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships within financial services, crypto, or blockchain.
- Proven track record of selling trading infrastructure, execution services, or institutional financial products.
- Strong understanding of crypto markets, MEV, and decentralized finance (DeFi).
- Established network within trading firms, exchanges, and institutional crypto players.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as required.
